Powerful Embodied Peace – Why Embodying Compassionate Communication (NVC) is essential daily

In this video I’m using an example of of how Embodied Compassion allows peace as well as sadness and grief to live in a person. I describe how both are vital for a full life, in which emotions give us the capacity to feel everything, alongside gratitude for being able to feel at all.

Introduction to Powerful Embodied Peace – Embodying Compassionate/ Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

When we practise noticing our body doing feelings throughout the day, with acceptance and love, we can transform the pain without blame, judgment, criticism and trying to control our pain. We can create more honest, open, responsive behaviours and language. We can act from our authentic selves, from warmth in our hearts, from the power to be ourselves in our grounded, present awareness and not be thrown around (so much) by uncomfortable or scary circumstances. We can speak from the heart and the whole of us, not using only head-brain thinking (usually analytical, that’s its role) but whole-body felt thinking. If you like this approach, do join one of my courses. I’d love to meet you.

Introduction to Powerful Embodied Peace – Embodied Nonviolent Communication

Embodied NVC can help us relate with more kindness, clarity and less upset. We can be empowered to act with love and kindness, speak our truths without hurting someone, feel our feelings and talk about them, because we’re human and relate more compassionately with people around us. We can act with less blame or judgment.

Introduction to my Powerful Embodied Peace Course in May 2021

When we use the skills of embodiment – awareness of inner reactions – these get us in touch with painful feelings expressed in a Jackal model, so that we can then bring love and compassion to these feelings and meet them in a Giraffe model, with choice about how to express ourselves here.

Purpose Summit 2021 When What I Do Is Who I Am: Living From a Full Heart

Purpose comes alive at turning points where precious needs and values are highlighted, chosen or turned away from. Purpose is in self-connection and alignment of body and heart with the mind in the head. The whole of me is on board when I notice the quiet voices inside, when I deliberately align my head with my heart and belly, creating a loving relationship between my thoughts, words, influences and my deep, inner self. Noticing my resistances, irritations, complaints, anger, fears, low resources can get me back to purpose by listening to these signposts towards deeper needs I might be ignoring. Acceptance, curiosity, playfulness, freedom, vision, attention, consciousness and love all matter for choice, power and purpose. This is the talk I gave at Purpose Summit 27th February 2021, hosted by Embodiment Unlimited.

How Embodied Awareness can help us feel more resourced, self-connected and present in the world

We often worry when our needs are not met and we may seek affirmation and validation from others. If others are not available or willing, we can practise finding strengths and groundedness within ourselves.
